directly, because it can't be sure of having network access, being
on, battery power, etc...

Instead the best I could do is to interact with some sniping web
service like Gixen.

It's something I've considered in the past, but it'd be a big
departure from what I usually do. Not the iOS side; I've done
some of that before, but making a sniping app whose primary
function is dependent on a 3rd party service.

cyberfoxtag:help.jbidwatcher.com,2010-06-01:Comment/359902042015-02-08T04:32:58Z2015-02-08T04:32:59ZIpad

Seems like much of ipad falls short :( i really like macos miss
my macbook
pro. My expectations of the ipad may have been lofty. I wanted a
portable
device that would replace a laptop. This thing breaks every update
almost
requiring a computer with itunes to fix. Been a unix and linux user
since
redhat 7 came out. Is there a way you could strip down the check
system so
that when it starts you do a simple internet check via manual ping
then let
the app ride with a notice the app must be open and make sure the
internet
is working before a bid. Then atleast a person would have a chance
to set a
bid. With an auto confirm when the bid is placed of course. I
sorely miss
your app. To have it on ipad in any capacity would be a step up
from ebay
app.

Thanks for the reply
