current and selling tabs

Hi
Have downloaded JBidwatcher today, v2.5.5 on Mac OS 10.9.2.
Loving it so far, well done.
I don't need to use it as a sniping tool. I am a seller on ebay. I only want it as an easy to view tool for watching and comparing competitors accounts on ebay. So I have 4 competitors items set as searches and have them set them to download into "current " tab. I see that my selling items automatically show in the "selling" tab. I would ideally like them in the same tab as my competitors so I can compare our selling prices easily without switching tabs. I have tried to set up a search to show my items in the current tab but it ignores that and they stay in selling tab. I know it's not a big deal switching tabs, but would be really useful to have info inn one place.

So is it possible to show my selling items alongside others in the current tab? If so, how?

Would really appreciate some help here.

Otherwise it works great for my purposes and thank you.

E

    Greetings,
Ah... Unfortunately JBidwatcher tries to be 'smart' about the selling tab,
and puts anything that has your own username as the seller into that tab.

I have not tried, but it MIGHT be possible to select the listings,
right-click, and say 'Send to...' and select a different tab.

The 'selling' tab is a piece of JBidwatcher that should probably just go
away, but tearing it out now would take a lot of work. I'm sorry I don't
have a better answer for you.

Best of luck with your sales!

    Hi Morgan,

Many thanks for reply I appreciate it.

I have managed a workaround to this problem which works. I have an ebay account that I do not use and has no listings, so i cleared the database and set up with that account as the sign in account and then grabbed all my listings from the live account together with the competitors and set them all to list in the “Current” tab. I did this by setting up a “seller” search in the search manager on each account. So they should all appear in one tab and alphabetically so I can compare listings. The theory is great but in reality the list is not complete. JBidWatcher is not loading all the listings from each account, just a selection. I have no idea how it is deciding which ones to who in the list. There are a selection from each account (I think there are 8 accounts). I am not sure how many appear. I have tried selecting all to see if there is a “count” result somewhere, but can’t see it.

I have enabled debugging and checked the logs and the error log reads as this:-

It seems to say that it has loaded 1842/20091 auctions. (I may be reading this wrongly.). Does this mean loaded 1842 out of 20091 auctions? There could be that number on all 8 accounts, which is obviously a lot. Can JBidwatcher only cope with a maximum number of listings - 1842? I have over 3000 listings on ebay and the other accounts vary between 500 - 4000.

If not is there something I am doing wrong? Is there something else I can do?
This would be a great piece of software if I can actually see all these listings together so I can compare my prices with my competitors.

Again, your comments and help would be much appreciated.
Hope I have explained this well.

    Regards

    Eric
