I am a current user of JBidwatcher. I tried to log into JBidwatcher and received notification that there was a new version. I attempted to download and install it, but am unable to do so. It has been very frustrating. I get messages that I'm not logged in. I got a notification to change my password, but is that my eBay password or a password for JBidwatcher? I need complete, layman's instructions on how to get my JBidwatcher functioning again. Right now it is not useable.
Thank you for your assistance.

Best Regards,
John Lowin

    Greetings,
Ignore 'My JBidwatcher', it's not relevant at all for what you're trying to
    do.

Click the gear-like icon in JBidwatcher. If it starts up in quick
configure mode, select Advanced. Go to your eBay tab, and fill in your
eBay username and password. Test the login, to make sure it works.

Save. Quit the program and restart. (This shouldn't be necessary, but
    just for absolute certainty.)

On restart, it should try to log you in.

    Hello Morgan,

Thank you for your reply. I'm still having a problem however. I am attaching three screen shots to show you what I see after clicking on the gear icon. Thanks again.

    Hello again Morgan,

Now I am getting a message that tells me I have to download and install legacy Java SE 6 runtime. I am on aMac Pro and have just upgraded to Yosemite. Does JBidwatcher not function under Yosemite?

I belong to a Mac Users group, that advises to steer clear of Java. Java Script is OK, but not Java.

I love your program, but, Yosemite it is making it difficult. Please advise what I need to do. Thanks again.

    Greetings,
JBidwatcher is a Java application, and always has been. It is not a Java
web-app, it does not run in your browser, which is what folks warn you
    against.

JBidwatcher does run on Yosemite, in fact I develop on Yosemite.

In your screenshots I did not see you selecting the eBay tab and having
entered your user information in the eBay tab like I described. I do not
see the Test Login attempt, as I described. The dialog boxes that you show
may result from starting the application without valid credentials in the
    first place.

Look, I'm just one guy. I've made it as easy as I can, and I can't tell
that you're actually following my instructions or not.

Please follow the instructions as described, and it will likely go much
better. If that doesn't work, try different things, and see what does
work. Explore and poke around. Especially until you've successfully
managed to get your account information into JBidwatcher, there's pretty
much nothing you can do that will have any negative repercussions.

    Greetings Morgan,

First off, I want to thank you a lot for your assistance with all my questions.

I want to apologize for upsetting you, that was certainly not my intention.

Once I realized that the Java run time was crucial, and that I had forgotten to hit the SAVE button, everything worked just fine.

    Many Thanks Again.

    Best Regards,
