Can't access database

I downloaded the new 2.5 on my G 5 (with OS X 10.5.6) and clicked on the jbid icon. Each time I do, I get the message: "JBidwatcher can't access its database. Please check to see if you are running another instance."
I am not running another version of JBidwatcher, so not sure what the problem is. Any suggestions?
