Yes; JBidwatcher uses the credentials you've put in to log in to eBay so it<br>
can monitor the auction. It does this so that it can keep track of your<br>
bids (if you bid directly, or bid offline), and see if your name is the<br>
high bidder, as well as (IIRC) get some other information that's not<br>
available when browsing anonymously. Without being signed in to eBay, that<br>
information is protected.</p>
<p>I don't have a good answer for you. Right now JBidwatcher uses the same<br>
paths to get information in its ongoing retrieval as its sniping, etc., and<br>
splitting those up would be potentially complicated.</p>
