Aieeee!</p>
<p>Crap, you're absolutely right.</p>
<p>Of all the bug reports I've gotten, this is a critical fix...
;(</p>
<p>Thank you for letting me know!</p>

another problem with cancelling a snipe. I’m using
(2.99pre5-2-g7251940)</p>
<p>Even when you cancel a snipe, all of the cancelled values are
still stored and executed by JBid.</p>
<p>For example, I was bidding on an ebay item. As it got close to
the auction end I saw the bids going higher than my snipe, so I
cancelled my snipe. I then added a bigger snipe. Since I really
wanted the item, I did the same thing a few minutes later. I
didn’t win the item, but it went for less than my last
entered snipe value. So, I reviewed the “Show
Information” option after the auction ended. It showed that
JBid had sniped my first 2 values that I entered and then it ran
out of time trying to snipe the third.</p>
<p>Another couple of things I’ve noticed. When you choose
“Update all auctions” the old program would go through
the list from newest to oldest. The new one uses some different
order that causes it to jump around. It would be nice if it used
the same order as what is displayed. Also, the old program would
show a nice red line completely across the item as it updated the
values. The new one shows a partial line.</p>
<p>I think in the new or old versions there was a difference
between updating all and updating an individual auction. If you are
the leading bidder on an item (which is nice to know), updating a
single auction seems to find that out and put the checkmark on the
status. Updating all auctions doesn’t seem to be able to
update that checkmark.</p>
<p>Last thing. I know that the program can’t snipe auctions
unless your PC is actively working. One unfortunate thing
I’ve seen on Windows “Sleep” mode is that the
program has dropped auction items from the database when the PC
wakes up again. Even if the item auction has not ended, the item
can be dropped from JBid. I’m guessing it may have been
trying to update something as the PC was going to sleep and
something failed in the communication. I don’t know what can
be done about this, but anything that retains the current auction
items would be appreciated.</p>
<p>Thanks again. Great program.</p></div>Kelly Smith
